Hello, I’m a bin fly, and I’m living my best life… well, I was.
Let me tell you about my week.
Monday
What a result! I discovered a lovely green wheelie bin with last night’s chicken bones, a slightly questionable yoghurt, and something that used to be broccoli. It’s warm, cosy, and the aroma is magnificent, five stars. I’ve already invited the family over.
Tuesday
Business is booming. The cousins have arrived, and we’re planning to raise the next generation right here. Honestly, humans make excellent landlords; they keep providing delicious leftovers without asking for rent.
Wednesday
The weather’s warmed up, lovely! The bin is now producing that rich, unmistakable perfume that lets everyone on the street know it’s collection day tomorrow. Some humans wrinkle their noses when they walk past. Personally, I call it “Eau de Wheelie Bin.”
Thursday
Disaster struck.
A van pulled up with “Freshbinz Ltd” written on the side. At first, I wasn’t worried; maybe they were delivering more tasty treats. But I couldn’t have been more wrong.
Before I knew it, powerful cleaning equipment was blasting away every crumb, sticky patch, and suspicious puddle we’d spent days perfecting. Then came the deodoriser, the horror! Our luxury residence had been transformed into a fresh, sparkling bin.
Friday
I’m currently sofa-surfing in a neglected food waste caddy three streets away. It’s not the same. The neighbours are noisy, and someone keeps putting the lid down properly.
So, if you’ve been wondering why your bin has attracted flies, unpleasant smells, or mysterious sticky bits, here’s a little secret from one of the experts: we absolutely love dirty bins.
The good news? We don’t stand much of a chance against a professional clean.
So, on behalf of bin flies everywhere, I’d kindly ask you not to book a visit from Freshbinz Ltd.
But if you’d rather enjoy a fresher-smelling bin, fewer unwanted visitors, and a much happier nose… you know exactly who to call.
Sorry, I’ve got to go. I think I’ve spotted an abandoned takeaway container…
